Sports Massage

Sports massage is applied to athletes to help them train and perform free of pain and injuries. Think of your body as a car, the more you use it the more you have to service it.

Massage is thought to work for athletes by reducing excessive post-exercise muscle tone, increasing muscle range of motion, increasing the circulation and nutrition to damaged tissue and deactivating symptomatic trigger points. As well as improving soft tissue function, regular massage provides the opportunity for the massage therapist to identify and soft tissue abnormalities, which if untreated, could progress to injury.

We blend classic Swedish strokes with such methods as trigger-point therapy, cross-fibre friction, joint mobilization to meet the special needs of high-level performers and fitness enthusiasts.
