Connective Tissue Manipulation

Connective tissue massage is a well known treatment technique in many European countries, developed by Mrs. Elisabeth Dicke (1929).

Originally detected to treat endarteritis obliterans, it is typically used to treat a whole range of chronic disorders. The diagnosis and therapy is based on the interaction between the somatic and autonomic nervous system and is applied to the connective tissues which connect and bind the cells and separate, protect and support the various organs. By stimulating the connective tissues we can trigger a reflex mechanism to affect related organs, treat areas of chronic pain and inflammations.
