Remedial Massage

Remedial Massage is applied for the rehabilitation of soft tissue injuries, musculoskeletal imbalances, neuromuscular holding pattens (caused by poor postural and work habits), and maintenance of chronic pain.

The massage is applied directly to the skin using a lubricating medium, usually oil, which ensures that the muscles associated with the disorder and mobilisation of the joint are deeply penetrated. Passive stretching moves are also used. Common conditions treated with remedial massage include: headaches; occupational overuse syndrome; tendonitis; muscle spasm resulting from disc & joint injuries; and everyday muscle tension.
